             6      This act modifies the Transportation Code to amend state access highways to Fremont
             7      Indian State Park and to Iron Mission State Park.
             8      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             9      AMENDS:
             10          72-3-203, as renumbered and amended by Chapter 270, Laws of Utah 1998
             11          72-3-204, as last amended by Chapter 113, Laws of Utah 2001
             12      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             13          Section 1. Section 72-3-203 is amended to read:
             14           72-3-203. State park access highways -- Escalante State Park to Huntington State
             15      Park.
             16          State park access highways include:
             17          (1) ESCALANTE STATE PARK. Access to Escalante State Park begins in Garfield
             18      County at State Highway 12 and proceeds northwesterly on a county road a distance of 1 mile to
             19      the park's visitor center and is under the jurisdiction of Garfield County.
             20          (2) FORT BUENAVENTURA STATE PARK. Access to Fort Buenaventura State Park
             21      is at the visitor center/contact station in Weber County at 2450 A Avenue in Ogden. No access
             22      road is defined.
             23          (3) FREMONT INDIAN STATE PARK. Access to the Fremont Indian State Park begins
             24      in Sevier County [at State Highway 70] at the Sevier Junction on Highway 89 and proceeds
             25      [easterly] westerly on [a] county road 2524 to interchange 17 on Interstate 70, a distance of [2.0]
             26      5.9 miles [to the parking area and visitor center of the park] and is under the jurisdiction of Sevier
             27      County.


             28          (4) GOBLIN VALLEY STATE PARK. Access to the Goblin Valley State Park begins in
             29      Emery County at State Highway 24 and proceeds southwesterly on a county road 11.7 miles to the
             30      overlook/parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of Emery County.
             31          (5) GOOSENECKS STATE PARK. Access to Goosenecks State Park begins in San Juan
             32      County at State Highway 261 and proceeds southwesterly on State Highway 316 a distance of 3.6
             33      miles to the parking area and overlook at the park and is under the jurisdiction of UDOT.
             34          (6) ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK. Access to Antelope Island State Park begins
             35      in Davis County at State Highway 127 and proceeds southwesterly on a county road a distance of
             36      7.2 miles to the parking area and marina at the park and is under the jurisdiction of Davis County.
             37          (7) GREAT SALT LAKE STATE PARK. Access to the Great Salt Lake State Park begins
             38      in Salt Lake County at Interstate Highway 80 and proceeds southwesterly on a county road a
             39      distance of 1.5 miles to the parking area and marina at the park and is under the jurisdiction of Salt
             40      Lake County.
             41          (8) GREEN RIVER STATE PARK. Access to Green River State Park is at the park
             42      entrance in Grand County at Green River Boulevard in Green River. No access road is defined.
             43          (9) GUNLOCK STATE PARK. Access to the Gunlock State Park begins in Washington
             44      County at the junction of county road (L009) and a county road and proceeds northwesterly on a
             45      county road a distance of 0.1 miles to the parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of
             46      Washington County.
             47          (10) HUNTINGTON STATE PARK. Access to the Huntington State Park begins in
             48      Emery County at State Highway 10 and proceeds northwesterly on a county road a distance of 0.3
             49      miles to the park entrance and is under the jurisdiction of Emery County.
             50          Section 2. Section 72-3-204 is amended to read:
             51           72-3-204. State park access highways -- Hyrum State Park to Painted Rocks.
             52          State park access highways include:
             53          (1) HYRUM STATE PARK. Access to Hyrum State Park is at the pay gate in Cache
             54      County at 405 West 300 South in Hyrum and proceeds northerly on 400 West to State Highway
             55      101. No access road is defined.
             56          (2) IRON MISSION STATE PARK. Access to Iron Mission State Park is at the parking
             57      area and museum in Iron County at milepoint 3.3 on State Highway 130 at 585 North Main St. in
             58      Cedar City. No access road is defined.


             59          (3) IRON MISSION STATE PARK (OLD IRON TOWN HISTORIC SITE). Access to
             60      Old Iron Town begins at the junction of a county road and State Highway 56, 19.0 miles west of
             61      Cedar City, and proceeds southwesterly 2.7 miles to the parking lot for Old Iron Town and is under
             62      the jurisdiction of Iron County.
             63          [(3)] (4) JORDAN RIVER STATE PARK. Access to Jordan River State Park is at the
             64      park entrance in Salt Lake County at milepoint 61.3 on State Highway 68 at 1084 North Redwood
             65      Road in Salt Lake City. No access road is defined.
             66          [(4)] (5) JORDANELLE STATE PARK (HAILSTONE MARINA). Access to the
             67      Jordanelle State Park Hailstone Marina begins in Wasatch County at State Highway 40 and
             68      proceeds southeasterly on State Highway 319 a distance of 1.4 miles to the marina parking area
             69      at the park and is under the jurisdiction of UDOT.
             70          [(5)] (6) JORDANELLE STATE PARK (ROCK CLIFF NATURE CENTER). Access
             71      to the Jordanelle State Park Rock Cliff Nature Center begins in Wasatch County at State Highway
             72      32 and proceeds northwesterly on a county road a distance of 0.6 miles to the parking area at the
             73      park and is under the jurisdiction of the county.
             74          [(6)] (7) JORDANELLE STATE PARK (ROCK CREEK). Access to Jordanelle State
             75      Park Rock Creek begins in Wasatch County at State Highway 189 and proceeds southerly on a
             76      county road a distance of 0.1 miles to the parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of
             77      the county.
             78          [(7)] (8) KODACHROME BASIN STATE PARK. Access to the Kodachrome Basin State
             79      Park begins in Kane County at State Highway 12 and proceeds southeasterly on a county road 10.1
             80      miles to the parking area at Kodachrome Lodge and is under the jurisdiction of Kane County.
             81          [(8)] (9) LOST CREEK STATE PARK. Access to the Lost Creek State Park begins in
             82      Morgan County at Interstate Highway 84 and proceeds northeasterly on a county road a distance
             83      of 12.8 miles to the parking/boat launch area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of Morgan
             84      County.
             85          [(9)] (10) MILLSITE STATE PARK. Access to the Millsite State Park begins in Emery
             86      County at State Highway 10 and proceeds northwesterly on a county road (L122) a distance of 4.6
             87      miles to the parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction of Emery County.
             88          [(10)] (11) MINERSVILLE STATE PARK. Access to the Minersville State Park begins
             89      in Beaver County at State Highway 21 and proceeds northwesterly on State Highway 310 a


             90      distance of 0.3 miles to the visitor center/contact station at the park and is under the jurisdiction
             91      of UDOT.
             92          [(11)] (12) NEWSPAPER ROCK STATE PARK. Access to the Newspaper Rock State
             93      Park begins in San Juan County at State Highway 191 and proceeds southwesterly on State
             94      Highway 211 a distance of 12.4 miles to the parking area at the park and is under the jurisdiction
             95      of UDOT.
             96          [(12)] (13) OTTER CREEK STATE PARK. Access to the Otter Creek State Park is at
             97      the pay gate/contact station in Piute County at milepoint 6.4 on State Highway 22. No access road
             98      is defined.
             99          [(13)] (14) PAINTED ROCKS (YUBA EAST SHORE). Access to the Painted Rocks
             100      Yuba East Shore begins in Sanpete County at State Highway 28 and proceeds westerly on a county
             101      road a distance of 2.0 miles to the parking/boat launch area at the park and is under the jurisdiction
             102      of Sanpete County.
