COURT ORDERED COUNSELING

5 This act modifies the Juvenile Court Act, providing that a person ordered to obtain
6 counseling by the court may be counseled by a member of the clergy.
7 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
8 ENACTS:
9 78-3a-122, Utah Code Annotated 1953
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Section 78-3a-122 is enacted to read:
12 78-3a-122. Court-ordered counseling.
13 If a person is ordered by the court to participate in counseling as part of a program or
14 treatment plan, the person may be counseled by a member of the clergy, subject to reporting
15 requirements prescribed within the program or plan.
