             5      This act modifies the State Affairs in General title by designating the state vegetable h a nd
             5a      historic state vegetable h .
             6      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             7      AMENDS:
             8          63-13-5.5, as enacted by Chapter 15, Laws of Utah 2001
             9      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             10          Section 1. Section 63-13-5.5 is amended to read:
             11           63-13-5.5. State symbols.
             12          (1) Utah's state animal is the elk.
             13          (2) Utah's state bird is the sea gull.
             14          (3) Utah's state centennial astronomical symbol is the Beehive Cluster located in the
             15      constellation of Cancer the Crab.
             16          (4) Utah's state centennial star is Dubhe, one of the seven bright stars composing the Big
             17      Dipper in the constellation Ursa Major.
             18          (5) Utah's state centennial tartan, which honors the first Scots known to have been in Utah
             19      and those Utahns of Scottish heritage, shall have a pattern or repeating-half-sett of white-2, blue-6,
             20      red-6, blue-4, red-6, green-18, red-6, and white-4 to represent the tartan worn anciently by the
             21      Logan and Skene clans, with the addition of a white stripe.
             22          (6) Utah's state cooking pot is the dutch oven.
             23          (7) Utah's state emblem is the beehive.
             24          (8) Utah's state fish is the Bonneville cutthroat trout.
             25          (9) Utah's state flower is the sego lily.
             26          (10) Utah's state folk dance is the square dance, the folk dance that is called, cued, or
             27      prompted to the dancers and includes squares, rounds, clogging, contra, line, and heritage dances.

         (11) Utah's state fossil is the Allosaurus.
             29          (12) Utah's state fruit is the cherry.
             30          (13) Utah's state vegetable is the Spanish sweet onion.

             32      Range in Juab County, Utah.

             34          [(15)] h [ (16) ] (17) h Utah's state insect is the honeybee.
             35          [(16)] h [ (17) ] (18) h Utah's state mineral is copper.
             36          [(17)] h [ (18) ] (19) h Utah's state motto is "Industry."
             37          [(18)] h [ (19) ] (20) h Utah's state railroad museum is Ogden Union Station.
             38          [(19)] h [ (20) ] (21) h Utah's state rock is coal.
             39          [(20)] h [ (21) ] (22) h Utah's state song is "Utah We Love Thee" by Evan Stephens.
