FUNDING A COMMUNITY LEGAL CENTER

5 This act provides a one-time appropriation of $800,000 from the General Fund to the
6 Department of Community and Economic Development to provide a grant to help fund a
7 Community Legal Center for the citizens of Utah. This act is effective July 1, 2002.
8 This act enacts uncodified material.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
10 Section 1. Appropriation.
11 Because access to legal services for citizens for the state is an important goal and an
12 appropriate purpose for state assistance, there is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year
13 2002-03, a one-time amount of $800,000 to the Department of Community and Economic
14 Development for a grant to aid in funding the Pete Suazo Memorial Community Legal Center.
15 Section 2. Effective date.
16 This act takes effect on July 1, 2002.
