Rep. Clark called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m.
MOTION: Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2002 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Duckworth absent for the vote.
H.B. 256 Constitutional Defense Council Amendments (S. Urquhart)
Rep. Urquhart introduced H.B. 256 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hendrickson moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 1, Line 23: After "attorney general" insert "or his designee"
The motion passed with Rep. Buttars voting in opposition.
Spoke in favor of the bill: Mark Walsh, Utah Association of Counties
MOTION: Rep. Buttars moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
H.C.R. 1 Resolution Regarding United States Minting of the Utah Quarter (N. Hansen)
.Rep. Hansen introduced H.C.R. 1 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Duckworth moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Rep. Bowman moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
