Vice-Chair Holdaway called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.

MOTION:    Representative Siddoway moved to approve the minutes of the January 31, 2002 committee meeting. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 281    Regulation of Personal Motorized Mobility Devices (G. Curtis)

Representative Curtis presented the bill to the committee, distributed a handout, and proposed amendments.

MOTION:    Representative Adair moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 7, Line 193:    Delete "at least"

2.    Page 9, Line 273:    Delete line 273 and insert
                "(b) For a person operating a motor assisted scooter or a personal motorized mobility device, the following provisions do not apply:"




3.    Page 9, Line 274:    Delete "and"

4.    Page 9, Line 275:    After "41-6-154.50" insert "and (iii) entitlement to full use of a lane under Subsection 41-6-107.2(1)"

    The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Representative Adair moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:
Representative Beshear moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice-Chair Holdaway adjourned the meeting at 9:15 a.m.
