SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT III

    5      This act funds appropriations and reductions for the support of state government for the fiscal year beginning
    6      July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002. This act provides budget increases and decreases for the use
    7      and support of certain state departments and agencies of state government and for other purposes as provided
    8      in this act. The act states intent language governing expenditures and provides an effective date.
    9          Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Utah:
    10      Section 1. Under the terms and conditions of Section 63-38-3, the following sums of money are appropriated out of money
    11      not otherwise appropriated, or reduced out of money previously appropriated, from the fund or fund account indicated for
    12      the use and support of certain state departments and agencies for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002.

    52           If at the time of closing FY 2002, the Division of Finance determines it is
    53          unnecessary to use the entire amount of this appropriation, it is the intent of
    54          the Legislature that the Division of Finance is authorized to decrease the
    55          transfer from the Budget Reserve Account to include only the amount
    56          necessary to cover any deficits in the unreserved, undesignated balance in the
    57          Uniform School Fund.
    58      ITEM    8     If at the time of closing FY 2002, there are any deficits in unreserved,
    59          undesignated balances in the Uniform School Fund or the General Fund, there
    60          is appropriated from the General Fund Restricted - Budget Reserve Account
    61          for FY 2002 an amount equal to that deficit, up to the remaining balance in
    62          the General Fund Restricted - Budget Reserve Account.
    63      Section 2. Effective Date. If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect upon
    64      approval by the Governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah Constitution Article VII, Section 8
    65      without the Governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the date of override.
