APPROPRIATION TO GENERAL FUND FROM
2 PERMANENT STATE TRUST FUND
3 2002 FIFTH SPECIAL SESSION

6 This act appropriates $17,000,000 from the tobacco settlement permanent state trust fund
7 to the General Fund for fiscal year 2002-03. This act provides an effective date.
8 This act enacts uncodified material.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah, three-fourths of all members elected to each
10 of the houses voting in favor thereof:
11 Section 1. Appropriation.
12 For fiscal year 2002-03 only, there is appropriated $17,000,000 from the monies in the
13 permanent state trust fund created by and operated under Utah Constitution Article XXII, Section
14 4, to be deposited in the General Fund.
15 Section 2. Effective date.
16 In accordance with Utah Constitution Article XXII, Section 4, if approved by three-fourths
17 of all members elected to each house, this act takes effect upon approval by the governor.
