USE OF TOBACCO PERMANENT TRUST FUND
2 2002 SIXTH SPECIAL SESSION

4 Sponsor: Karen W. Morgan
5 This act appropriates $26.4 million from the permanent state trust fund created and
6 operated under Utah Constitution Article XXII, Section 4 to the General Fund, for fiscal
7 year 2002-03 only. This act requires a three-quarters majority vote in each house of the
8 Legislature and approval of the governor in order to take effect. This act has an
9 immediate effective date.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 There is appropriated for fiscal year 2002-03 only, $26.4 million from the money in the
14 permanent state trust fund created and operated under the provisions of Utah Constitution
15 Article XXII, Section 4 to the General Fund.
16 Section 2. Effective date.
17 In accordance with Utah Constitution Article XXII, Section 4, if approved by
18 three-fourths of each house of the Legislature along with the concurrence of the governor, this
19 act takes effect upon approval by the governor.
