7 This act reauthorizes the Funding of State and County Health and Human Services
8 Legislative Task Force. The act appropriates $24,500 from the General Fund for fiscal
9 year 2003-04 to fund the task force and repeals the task force on November 30, 2003.

15 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
16 Section 1. Uncodified Section 2, Chapter 251, Laws of Utah 2002 is amended to
17 read:
18 Section 2. Duties -- Interim report.
19 (1) The committee shall review and make recommendations on the following issues:
20 (a) the role and responsibility of state government and local governments for funding
21 and operating health and human services programs within the state; and
22 (b) the allocation of funding for health and human services programs to local
23 governments.
24 (2) A final report, including any proposed legislation shall be presented to the Health
25 and Human Services Interim Committee before November 30, [
26 Section 2. Uncodified Section 3, Chapter 251, Laws of Utah 2002 is amended to
27 read:
28 Section 3. Appropriation.
29 There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year [
30 time appropriation of:
31 (1) $3,500 to the Senate to pay for the compensation and expenses of senators on the
32 committee;
33 (2) $6,000 to the House of Representatives to pay for the compensation and expenses
34 of representatives on the committee; and
35 (3) $15,000 to the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel to pay for
36 staffing the committee.
37 Section 3. Uncodified Section 4, Chapter 251, Laws of Utah 2002 is amended to
38 read:
39 Section 4. Repeal date.
