CONSUMER SALES PRACTICES ACT

6 This act modifies the Consumer Sales Practices Act by requiring written consumer
7 contracts to be S [ clear and understandable language, printed in an easy-to-read type size
8 and style. ] IN AT LEAST 10-POINT FONT TYPE SIZE. s
9 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
10 ENACTS:
11 13-11-4.6, Utah Code Annotated 1953
12 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
13 Section 1. Section 13-11-4.6 is enacted to read:
14 13-11-4.6. Requirements for written consumer contracts.
15 (1) Written consumer contracts shall be S [ : ] IN AT LEAST 10-POINT FONT TYPE SIZE.
16 [ (a) in clear and understandable language; and
17 (b) S [printed] s in an easy-to-read type size and style. ] s
18 (2) As used in this section, "contract" has the same meaning as provided in Subsection
19 70A-2-106 (1).
