             6      A resolution of the Senate revising Senate rules by changing the name of a Senate
             7      standing committee. This resolution has an immediate effective date.
             8      This resolution affects legislative rules as follows:
             9      AMENDS:
             10          SR-24.05
             11      Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah:
             12          Section 1. SR-24.05 is amended to read:
             13           SR-24.05. Standing Committees.
             14          (1) The President shall appoint the following standing committees:
             15          (a) Business and Labor;
             16          (b) Education;
             17          (c) Government Operations and Political Subdivisions;
             18          (d) Health and Human Services;
             19          (e) Judiciary, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice;
             20          (f) Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment;
             21          (g) Revenue and Taxation;
             22          (h) Senate Rules;
             23          (i) Transportation and Public Utilities and Technology; and
             24          (j) Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development.
             25          (2) The members of the [Legislative Quasi-Governmental] Retirement and Independent
             26      Entities Committee created in Section [ 63-95-201 ] 63E-1-201 who are appointed from the
             27      Senate [constitute] are a standing committee.



             28          Section 2. Effective date.
             29          This resolution takes effect upon approval by a constitutional majority vote of all
             30      members of the Senate.
