Sen. Evans called the meeting to order at 3:35 p.m.

1.    S .B. 80 ADVERSE BENEFIT DETERMINATION AMENDMENTS (Sen. P. Knudson)

    
Sen. Knudson presented the bill to the committee.

    Suzette Green-Wright, Utah Insurance Department; Kelly Atkinson, UHIA and Tena Johnson, LCPD spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Beverly Evans moved to pass S.B. 80 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Blackham absent at the time of voting.

2.     1 st Sub S.B. 89 MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ACT AMENDMENTS (Sen. D.C. Buttars)

     MOTION: Sen. Thomas moved to substitute S. B. 89 with 1st Sub S.B. 89.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Blackham absent at the time of voting.



    Sen. Buttars introduced the bill to the committee.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass 1st Sub.S.B. 89 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Blackham absent at the time of voting.          
     MOTION: Senator Thomas moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Blackham absent at the time of voting.

    Committee Chair J. Evans adjourned the meeting at 3:55 p.m.
