Sen. J. Evans called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m.
Sen. B. Wright (S.B. 208) and Sen. E. Mayne (S.B. 212) requested their bills to be held for a future meeting.
1. S.B. 174 LIEN OF CHIROPRACTIC PROVIDERS (Sen. D.C. Buttars)
MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to adopt 1st Sub. S.B. 174.
The motion passed with Sen. Knudson, Sen. Allen, Sen. B. Evans and Sen. Thomas absent at the time of the vote.
Sen. Buttars presented the bill to the committee.
Tim Apgood, Utah Oral Health Coalition, and Edward Havas, attorney, Utah Trial Lawyers Association, spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to amend the bill as follows:
Page 1, Line 1: Delete CHIROPRACTIC PROVIDERS and insert LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROVIDER
The motion passed with Sen. Allen, Sen. B. Evans, Sen. Knudson and Sen. Thomas absent at the time of the vote.
MOTION: Sen. B. Evans moved to move on to the next item on the agenda.
