Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

1.     2ND Sub. H.B. 114 MANAGEMENT, ENHANCEMENT AND FUNDING OF 911 SYSTEM (Rep. B. Dee)

    MOTION:
Sen.Gladwell moved to refer 2nd Sub. H. B. 114 to the rules committee for interim study.

    The motion passed with Sen. Allen and Sen. Stsephenson absent at the time of the vote.
    
2.     S.B. 253 PRIVILEGE TAX - PUBLIC LAND (Sen. T. Hatch)

    
Sen. Hatch presented the bill to the committee.

    MOTION: Sen. Gladwell moved to pass S. B. 253 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    
The motion passed with Sen. Allen and Sen. Stephenson absent at the time of the vote.
         
3.     S.B. 148 PROPERTY TAX - FARMLAND ASSESSMENT ACT (Sen. T. Hatch)

    Sen. Hatch moved to amend the bill as follows:

    The motion passed with Sen. Stephenson and Sen. Allen absent for the vote.

    Lee Gardner, Salt Lake County Assessor spoke to the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass S. B. 148, as amended, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.     H. B. 219 WAGES FOR TIPPED EMPLOYEES (Rep. D. Ure)

    
Alan Hennebold spoke to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Allen moved to pass H. B. 219 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

5.     SJR12 JOINT RULE RESOLUTION - REVIEW AND FISCAL NOTING OF TAX EXEMPTIONS (Sen. L. Hillyard)

    
SJR12 was not heard.

6.     S.B. 213 SALES AND USE TAX EXEMPTIONS (Sen. E. Mayne)

    MOTION:
Sen. Stephenson moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.
