Committee Chair Steele called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m.

1.     S.B. 19 Vehicle History Information (D. Eastman)

    
Sen. Eastman presented the bill and proposed the following amendments:

     1. Page 1, Line 7:     After line 7 insert " This act allows the department to establish a fee for each vehicle accident history request."

2. Page 2, Line 54:    After "(i)" insert "any vehicle identifying information that is electronically available, including"

3. Page 2, Line 58:    After line 58 insert
        "(e) The department may establish a fee under Section 63-38-3.2 for the cost of producing and providing vehicle accident history information under Subsection (3)(d)."



     MOTION: Sen. Steele moved to adopt the amendments.
    
     The motion passed unanimously.     

    Doug Foxley, Attorney, CARFAX, Annette Call, Salt Lake County Recorder, and Bart Blackstock, Deputy Director, Department of Public Safety, answered questions and spoke to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen.Walker moved to adjourn.
