             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This bill modifies the State System of Higher Education Code by repealing an
             10      exemption from nonresident tuition.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    repeals the provision that, if allowed under federal law, a student, other than a
             14      nonimmigrant alien, shall be exempt from the nonresident portion of total tuition if
             15      the student:
             16              .    attended high school in this state for three or more years; and
             17              .    graduated from a high school or received its equivalent in this state.
             18      Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
             19          None
             20      Other Special Clauses:
             21          None
             22      Utah Code Sections Affected:
             23      REPEALS:
             24          53B-8-106, as enacted by Chapter 230, Laws of Utah 2002

             26      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             27          Section 1. Repealer.


             28          This bill repeals:
             29          Section 53B-8-106, Resident tuition -- Requirements -- Rules.
