7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Motor Vehicle Business Regulation Act to enact a fee for
10 electronic payments provision.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . provides that the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division may collect a fee to cover
14 the cost of electronic payments on certain transactions.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 41-3-604 is enacted to read:
25 41-3-604. Fee to cover the cost of electronic payments.
26 (1) In accordance with Section 63-38a-105 , the division may collect a fee to cover the
27 cost of electronic payments on the following transactions:

28 (a) each purchase of a book of temporary permits under Section 41-3-302 ;
29 (b) each penalty issued for a delinquent temporary permit under Section 41-3-302 ; and
30 (c) each purchase of a salvage vehicle buyer license under Section 41-3-202 .
31 (2) The division shall establish the fee according to the procedures and requirements of
32 Section 63-38-3.2 .
