Rep. Aagard called the meeting to order at 4:50 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2004 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Christensen and Rep. Dee absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 15    Resolution Recognizing Military Appreciation Week (Rep. J. S. Adams)

Rep. Adams explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dee absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved to place H.C.R. 15 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dee absent for the vote.

S.B. 49    Competency to Be Executed - Amendments (Sen. D. Gladwell)

Sen. Gladwell explained the bill, assisted by C. C. Horton, Assistant Attorney General.



MOTION:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Dee absent for the vote.

1st Sub. S.B. 173    Bail Bond Reinstatement Amendments (Sen. G. Bell)

Sen. Bell explained the bill, assisted by Paul Boyden, Executive Director, Statewide Association of Prosecutors.

MOTION:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 182    Assistant Adjutant General Qualifications (Sen. P. Knudson)

Sen. Knudson explained the bill, assisted by Colonel Craig Morgan, Utah National Guard.

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved to place S.B. 182 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to adjourn the meeting.
