Chair Buttars called the meeting to order at 3:25 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Johnson moved to adopt the committee meeting minutes from January 20 and January 21, 2004. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Cox, Rep. Dayton, Rep. Gowans, Rep. Noel, Rep. Styler, Rep. Ure, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 232    Water Well Amendments (Rep. D. Peterson)

Rep. Peterson introduced the bill with the assistance of Mr. Jerry Olds, State Engineer.

MOTION:     Rep. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed         unanimously with Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.

H.B. 88    State Land Use Management Plans (Rep. B. Johnson)


Rep. Johnson introduced the bill with the assistance of Rep. Noel.

MOTION:    Rep. Ure made a motion to amend the bill as follows:

SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Rep. Styler made a substitute motion to amend the bill as follows:

        Page 4: Line 101: after "the" insert "watersheds,"

        Page 4: Line 116: after "recreational" insert "and economic"

        Page 5: Line 122: after "which" insert "improve watersheds and"

The motion passed with Rep. Noel voting in opposition.

MOTION:     Rep. Styler moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion         passed with Rep. Biskupski and Rep. Ure voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.         Chair Buttars adjourned the meeting at 4:50 p.m.
