    Sen. J. Evans called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.
    
1.    S.B. 86 MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE ACT AMENDMENTS (Sen. D.C. Buttars)

    Sen. Buttars presented the bill to the committee.
    
    Mark Duke, LDS Church Family Services; Jack Tanner, Utah Behavioral Healthcare     Network; and Adam Trupp, Division of Child and Family Services, spoke in favor of the     bill. Kym Meyer, Utah Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers; and     Rod Julander, Utah Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, spoke in     opposition to the bill.

    MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to amend the bill.

    The motion was withdrawn.

     MOTION: Sen. Blackham moved to pass S.B. 86 out of committee with a favorable     recommendation.

     SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to hold the bill.



    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Blackham, Sen. Jenkins, and Sen. Thomas     voting against.

    
     MOTION: A motion was duly moved to adjourn the meeting.

    The motion passed with all present voting.

    Chair J. Evans adjourned the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
