APPOINTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR
GENERAL

LONG TITLE
General Description:
This joint resolution of the Legislature approves the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff
as Legislative Auditor General.

Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 36-12-7 , Utah Code Annotated 1953, the Legislative
Management Committee of the Legislature, upon recommendation of its Audit Subcommittee,
has recommended the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff as Legislative Auditor General for
the Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the appointment of Mr. John M. Schaff as Legislative Auditor General is
for a term of office of six years commencing November 9, 2004, and is subject to further
approval of a majority vote of both the House of Representatives and the Senate:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that
Mr. John M. Schaff's appointment as Legislative Auditor General for the Utah Legislature be
approved for a six-year term of office commencing November 9, 2004.
