Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of February 18th, 2005.
The motion passed with Sen. Stephenson absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 183 PUBLIC TRANSIT DISTRICT ANNEXATION AND FUNDING AMENDMENTS (Sen. D. Eastman)
Sen. Bell presented the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to substitute S.B. 183 with 1st. Sub. S.B. 183.
The motion passed unanimously.
Kathryn Pett, Utah Transit Authority; Steve White, Utah County Commissioner;
Dan McConkie, Davis County Commission, and Dennis Nordfelt, Mayor of West Valley City, spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to hold 1st. Sub. S.B. 183.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. S.B. 209 INTERLOCAL COOPERATION ACT AMENDMENTS (Sen. C. Bramble)
Sen. Stephenson presented the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to substitute S.B. 209 with 2nd Sub. S.B. 209.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to amend 2nd Sub. S.B. 209 as follows:
Page 4, Line 91: After "purpose" delete "before December 31
2009"
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to pass 2nd Sub. S.B. 209, as amended, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to substitute 1st. Sub. H.B. 49 with 2nd Sub. H.B. 49.

Former Salt Lake City Mayor Ted Wilson and John Weis, citizen, spoke to the bill.
