APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to approve the minutes of February 21, 2005.
The motion passed with Sen. Allen and Sen. Dmitrich absent for the vote.
1. H.B. 287 REVENUE BONDS AND CAPITAL FACILITIES AUTHORIZATIONS (Rep. D. G. Buxton)
MOTION: Sen. Peterson moved to pass H. B. 287 out of committee with a favorable recommendation and sent to the top of the 2nd Reading Calendar.
The motion passed with Sen. Stephenson, Sen. Allen and Sen. Dmitirich absent for the vote.
2. S.B. 33 EXEMPTIONS TO RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAX (Sen. E. Mayne)
S.B. 82 INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX - EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT (Sen. T. Hatch)

MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to refer S.B. 33, S.B. 82, S.B. 185, S.J.R.2 and H.B 220 to the
rules committee for interim study.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen, Sen. Dmitrich, and Sen. Stephenson absent
for the vote.

1st SUB. S. B. 183 PUBLIC TRANSIT DISTRICT ANNEXATION AND FUNDING
AMENDMENTS (Sen. D. Eastman)
MOTION: Sen. Bell moved to substitute 1st Sub. S.B.183 with 2nd Sub. S.B.183.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen, Sen. Dmitrich and Sen. Stephenson absent
for the vote.
Sen. Bell presented the bill to the committee.
Kathryn Pett, Transit Authority; Lincoln Shurtz, Utah League of Cities and Towns;
Steve White, Utah County Commissioner; Dennis Nordfelt, Mayor, West Valley City, and

recommendation.

MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass 2nd Sub. H.B. 45 with a favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass H.B. 116 out of committee with favorable
recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to pass H.B. 249 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation.

MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass 3rd Sub. H.B. 174 out of committee with a
favorable recommendation.
