Committee Chair Evans called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m., and recognized
Sen. Gene Davis as a newly appointed member of the committee.

1.    H.B. 173 State Employee Amendments (A. Hardy)

    Rep. Hardy explained the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen and Sen. Davis absent for the vote.

     MOTION: Sen. Buttars moved to place the bill on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen and Sen. Davis absent for the vote.




2.        H.B. 180 Retirement Office Amendments
(A. Hardy)

        Rep. Hardy explained the bill.

         MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.

        The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Allen and Sen. Davis absent for the vote.

3.        S.B. 154 Public Safety Retirement Amendments (D. C. Buttars)

        Sen. Buttars explained the bill.

        The following spoke in support of the bill:
