             9      General Description:
             10          This bill enacts a provision in the Utah Municipal Code relating to building inspectors.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    requires municipalities that employ a building inspector to ensure the availability of
             14      a building inspector during business hours of each business day.
             15      Monies Appropriated in this Bill:

             20      ENACTS:
             21          10-8-52.5, Utah Code Annotated 1953

             23      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             24          Section 1. Section 10-8-52.5 is enacted to read:
             25          10-8-52.5. Availability of municipal building inspectors.
             26          Each municipality that employs at least one H. full-time .H building inspector shall
             26a      ensure the
             27      availability of a building inspector H. for a building inspection .H during regular business
             27a      hours of each H. [ business ] .H day
             27a      H. Monday through Friday .H , except


             28      for H. holidays and .H normal absences due to vacation, sickness, or other commonly
             28a      acceptable reasons.
