8 General Description:
9 This bill requires any redistricting plan to be adopted by at least a two-thirds vote.

12 . prohibits the Legislature from adopting a redistricting plan unless the plan is
13 approved by more than two-thirds of both houses of the Legislature.

22 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
23 Section 1. Section 36-1a-101 is enacted to read:
24 36-1a-101. Redistricting procedures.
25 The Legislature may not adopt a Congressional, State Senate, State House of
26 Representatives, or State School Board redistricting plan unless the plan is approved by at least
27 a two-thirds vote of both houses of the Legislature.
