9 General Description:
10 This bill modifies the Transportation Code by amending provisions related to the
11 construction of a limited-access facility in a certain area of the state.
12 Highlighted Provisions:
13 This bill:
14 . defines the Mountain View Corridor; and
15 . requires the Department of Transportation, if it pursues construction of a
16 limited-access facility within the Mountain View Corridor, to:
17 . begin construction on the south half first; and
18 . construct an interchange with SR-15 at approximately 15000 South in Salt Lake
19 County.

28 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
29 Section 1. Section 72-6-120 is enacted to read:
30 72-6-120. Definitions -- Construction of limited-access facility within Mountain
31 View Corridor.
32 (1) As used in this section, "Mountain View Corridor" means the land area of Salt Lake
33 County running from SR-80 south between SR-154 and SR-111 to 12600 South and then south
34 and southeasterly to the northern portion of Utah County west of SR-15.
35 (2) If the department pursues construction of a limited-access facility within the
36 Mountain View Corridor, the department shall:
37 (a) complete a majority of the construction on the southern half of the limited-access
38 facility prior to commencing construction on the northern half; and
39 (b) include on the limited-access facility an interchange with SR-15 at approximately
40 15000 South in Salt Lake County.
