9 General Description:
10 This bill enacts a provision in the Utah Municipal Code relating to building inspectors.

13 . requires municipalities that employ a building inspector to ensure the availability of
14 a building inspector during business hours of each business day.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 10-8-52.5 is enacted to read:
25 10-8-52.5. Availability of municipal building inspectors.
26 Each municipality that employs at least one building inspector shall ensure the
27 availability of a building inspector during regular business hours of each business day, except

28 for normal absences due to vacation, sickness, or other commonly acceptable reasons.
