8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This concurrent resolution of the Legislature and the Governor urges state government
11 and the business community to work with the Goshute Nation to develop employment
12 opportunities on the Goshute Reservation.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This resolution:
15 . urges each of Utah's branches of government to develop a positive working
16 relationship with the Goshute Nation; and
17 . encourages all agencies of Utah State Government and businesses and corporations
18 doing business in the state to work with the Goshute Nation to develop employment
19 opportunities on the Goshute Reservation.
20 Special Clauses:

23 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah, the Governor concurring therein:
24 WHEREAS, the state of Utah values the history and traditions of the Goshute Nation;
25 WHEREAS, the state of Utah appreciates the abilities of the members of the Goshute
26 Nation; and
27 WHEREAS, the state of Utah has been successful in keeping high-level nuclear waste
28 out of the state of Utah and off of the sovereign Goshute Nation:
29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of the state of Utah, the
30 Governor concurring therein, urge all branches of government in the state to develop a positive
31 working relationship with the Goshute Nation.
32 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature and the Governor encourage all
33 agencies of Utah State Government, and private businesses and corporations doing business in
34 the state of Utah, to work with the Goshute Nation to develop employment opportunities on the
35 Goshute Reservation to better the lives of the members of the Goshute Nation.
36 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to each of Utah's
37 Chambers of Commerce, each department of state government, and the Judicial Council.
