Rep. Hughes called the meeting to order at 4:24 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Bowman moved to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2006 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Aagard and Rep. Clark absent for the vote.

H.B. 135    Performance Audits of Local Governments (Rep. P. Wallace)

Rep. Wallace explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Clark moved that the committee move to the next item on the agenda. The motion passed, with Rep. Hansen, Rep. Hendrickson, and Rep. Hughes voting in opposition. Rep. Aagard was absent for the vote.





H.B. 390    State Disaster Contingency Funding (Rep. C. Oda)


Rep. Oda explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:     Brian Garrett, Utah Department of Public Safety, Director Emergency Services

MOTION:    Rep. Hutchings moved that the bill be sent to Interim Studies. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Aagard absent for the vote.

H.B. 347    Election Day Voter Registration (Rep. N. Hansen)

Rep. Hansen explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Tyler Allen, citizen

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Rep. Hughes, Rep. Clark, and Rep. Mathis voting in opposition. Rep. Aagard was absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Aagard absent for the vote.

Rep. Hughes adjourned the meeting at 5:38 p.m.
