Rep. Ray called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2006 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 343    Health Insurance Prompt Pay Amendments (Rep. S. Urquhart)

This bill was not considered in this meeting.


S.B. 146    Physician Assistants and Public Health Amendments (Sen. G. Bell)

Sen. Bell introduced S.B. 146 and explained it to the committee. He was assisted by Bob Bunnell, Utah Academy of Physicians Assistants.

MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Buxton moved to recess for 15 minutes. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Ray reconvened the meeting at 9:04 a.m.





H.B. 24    Medicaid Dental Reimbursement Amendments (Rep. S. Mascaro)


Since Rep. Mascaro was unavailable to present H.B. 24, individuals who had come to speak regarding the bill were invited to testify. Rep. Mascaro's intern provided a handout regarding the bill.
