Chairman Buttars called the meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.
    

1.     S.B. 16 Civil Antitrust Amendments (Sen. Hillyard)

    
Sen. Hillyard presented the bill to the committee and distributed a handout titled "Civil     Amendments to Utah Antitrust Act to Allow Claims by Indirect Purchasers." He was assisted by Ronald Ockey, Assistant Attorney General.

    Tom Bingham, Utah Manufacturers Association, expressed concern with the bill.

    Fraser Nelson, Disability Law Center, expressed concern with the bill.
    
    MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass S.B. 16 out of committee with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

2.    S.B. 24 Weapons Amendments (M. Madsen)

    
This bill was not considered.


3.    S.B. 50 Jail Funding Amendments (D. Thomas)

    
This bill was not considered.

    MOTION: Sen. Thomas moved to adjourn.     The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Buttars adjourned the meeting at 3:35 p.m.
