Rep. Menlove called the meeting to order at 8:17 a.m.
MOTION: Rep. Litvack moved to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ray absent for the vote.
H.B. 245 Child Welfare Amendments (Rep. M. Newbold)
Rep. Newbold introduced H.B. 245 and explained it to the committee.

MOTION: Rep. Litvack moved to pass H.B. 245 out favorably. The motion failed with Rep. Litvack, Rep. Riesen, and Rep. Menlove voting in favor of the motion. Rep. Buxton, Rep. Harper, and Rep. Ray voted in opposition to the motion.
S.B. 26 Utah Commission on Aging (Sen. P. Jones)
Sen Jones introduced S.B. 26 and explained it to the committee. Handouts were provided to committee members.
