Rep. Ray called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Harper moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2007 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 338    Emergency Room Tort Reform (Rep. B. Last)

Rep. Last presented H.B. 338 to the committee, assisted by Chet Loftis, attorney.

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to pass H.B. 338 out favorably.




SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:    Rep. Riesen moved to table the bill. The motion failed with Rep. Litvack and Rep. Riesen voting in favor of the motion.

The original motion to pass the bill out favorably passed with Rep. Litvack and Rep. Riesen voting in opposition to the motion.


H.B. 369    Nursing Care Facility Licensure Modifications (Rep. S. Urquhart)

H.B. 369 was not heard in this meeting.


MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Ray adjourned the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
