Committee Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.
1. Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of January 16, 2007.
The motion passed unanimously.
2. H.B. 20 State Declaration of State Water Week (Rep. R. Becker)
Rep. Ralph Becker introduced the bill.
Amy Defreese, River Defense Coordinator, Utah Rivers Council, spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to pass H.B. 20, State Declaration of State Water Week, out favorably.
The motion passed with Sen. Dayton and Sen. Peterson voting in opposition.
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to adjourn.
The motion passed unanimously.
Chair Peterson adjourned the meeting at 9:19 a.m.
