Committee Chair Walker called the meeting to order at 1:49 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to approve the 8:00 a.m. minutes of February 21, 2007.
The motion passed unanimously.
1. S.B. 271 Solid and Hazardous Waste Act Amendments (S. Killpack)
MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to delete in title and body S.B. 271, and adopt 1st. Sub. S.B. 271.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Killpack explained the bill assisted by Emily Brown, Attorney, L.R.G.C.
Dennis Astill, Attorney, Anderson/Geneva, spoke in support of the bill.
Michael Emery, Attorney, United States Steel, spoke in opposition to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass out 1st Sub. S.B. 271 favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to adjourn.
