32 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

35 62A-15-1101. Title.
36 This part is known as "Education and Outreach."
37 Section 2. Section 62A-15-1102 is enacted to read:
38 62A-15-1102. Public education and outreach regarding substances harmful
39 during pregnancy.
40 The division shall conduct a public education and outreach program to inform pregnant
41 women and women who may become pregnant of:
42 (1) the danger of using alcohol, tobacco, or other harmful substances during pregnancy;
43 (2) treatment and other assistance available to help women avoid or stop the use or
44 abuse of a substance described in Subsection (1); and
45 (3) legal protections provided by law or court rule that prohibit information relating to
46 treatment received under Subsection (2) from being used as evidence against the woman in
47 court. ]
47a Section 1. Section 26-7-4 is enacted to read:
47b 26-7-4. Public education and outreach regarding substances harmful during
47c pregnancy.

47d1 shall, under the direction of the Utah Substance Abuse and Anti-
47e violence Coordinating Council, created in Section 63-25a-203, and in consultation with the
47f Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, within the Department of Human Services,
47g conduct a public education and outreach program to inform pregnant women and women who
47h may become pregnant of:
47i (1) the danger of using alcohol, tobacco, or other harmful substances during
47j pregnancy;
47k (2) treatment and other assistance available to help women avoid or stop the use or
47l abuse of a substance described in Subsection (1); and
47m (3) legal protections provided by law or court rule that prohibit information relating
47n to treatment received under Subsection (2) from being used as evidence against the woman in
47o court. .H
