             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This bill appropriates monies to Utah Valley State College.
             10      Highlighted Provisions:
             11          This bill appropriates monies to Utah Valley State College for university status.
             12      Monies Appropriated in this Bill:
             13          This bill appropriates:
             14          .    as an ongoing appropriation subject to future budget constraints, $2,000,000 from
             15      the Education Fund for fiscal year 2008-09 to Utah Valley State College.
             16      Other Special Clauses:
             17          This bill takes effect on July 1, 2008.

             19      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             20          Section 1. Appropriation.
             21          As an ongoing appropriation subject to future budget constraints, there is appropriated
             22      from the Education Fund for fiscal year 2008-09, $2,000,000 to Utah Valley State College for
             23      university status as follows:
             24          (1) increasing full-time faculty and aligning faculty teaching loads;
             25          (2) academic advising;


             26          (3) enhancing and expanding undergraduate programs;
             27          (4) providing master's degree programs; and
             28          (5) graduate program faculty and student support;
             29          Section 2. Effective date.
             30          This bill takes effect on July 1, 2008.
