10 This bill enacts a provision relating to procurement by the This is the Place Foundation.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 63-11-3.1 is amended to read:
27 63-11-3.1. Definitions.

28 As used in [Sections 63-11-3.1 ] this section and Sections 63-11-3.2 through [ 63-11-3.3 ]
29 63-11-3.4 :
30 (1) "Board" means the board of trustees of This is the Place Foundation.
31 (2) "Division" means the Division of Parks and Recreation.
32 (3) "Foundation" means This is the Place Foundation, a private nonprofit corporation
33 formed pursuant to Title 16, Chapter 6a, Utah Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act.
34 (4) "Monument" means This is the Place Monument at This is the Place State Park.
35 (5) "Park" means This is the Place State Park, property owned by the state of Utah
36 located at 2601 East Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City.
37 Section 2. Section 63-11-3.4 is enacted to read:
38 63-11-3.4. Exemption to Procurement Code.
39 A contract entered into by the board or an expenditure by the board is exempt from
40 Title 63, Chapter 56, Utah Procurement Code.
