10 This bill prevents enforcement of an agreement with an illegal purpose.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 13-8-6 is enacted to read:
25 13-8-6. Void and unenforceable agreements.
26 An arrangement, agreement, or transaction that is unlawful or violates public policy is
27 void and unenforceable.
