7 LONG TITLE
8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Campaign and Financial Reporting Requirements by amending
10 provisions related to amended financial disclosure statement filings.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . adds requirements for amended financial disclosure statements to explain and show
14 the corrections being made.

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 11. Section 20A-11-104 is enacted to read:
25 20A-11-104. Amended financial statements -- Requirements.
26 (1) A person may file an amended financial statement to correct any financial statement
27 filed in accordance with this chapter using the form required by the chief election officer,

28 either:
29 (a) voluntarily; or
30 (b) at the direction of the chief election officer, as provided for in this chapter.
31 (2) An amended financial statement filed under this section shall:
32 (a) provide a brief statement summarizing the changes and the reasons for submitting
33 an amended financial statement; and
34 (b) clearly show the financial statement as initially submitted and the corrections being
35 made with the amended financial statement.
36 (3) Nothing in this section may be construed to affect a person's responsibility to file a
37 timely completed financial statement, detailing accurately and completely the information
38 required under this chapter.
