10 General Description:
11 This bill prohibits the "Custody and Visitation for Persons Other than Parents Act"
12 from being used to seek or obtain custody or visitation of a child that has been
13 adopted.

16 . prohibits the "Custody and Visitation for Persons Other than Parents Act" from
17 being used to seek or obtain custody of, or visitation with, a child who has been
18 relinquished for adoption, or adopted pursuant to an order of the court.

27 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
28 Section 1. Section 30-5a-104 is enacted to read:
29 30-5a-104. Exceptions.

30 This chapter may not be used to seek, obtain, maintain or continue custody of, or
31 visitation with, a child who has been relinquished for adoption, or adopted pursuant to an
32 order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
