9 LONG TITLE
10 General Description:
11 This bill prohibits the "Custody and Visitation for Persons Other than Parents Act"
12 from being used to seek or obtain custody or visitation of a child that has been adopted.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This bill:
15 . prohibits the "Custody and Visitation for Persons Other than Parents Act" from
16 being used to seek or obtain custody of, or visitation with, a child who has been
17 relinquished for adoption, or adopted pursuant to an order of the court.

26 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
27 Section 1. Section 30-5a-104 is enacted to read:
28 30-5a-104. Exceptions.
29 This chapter may not be used to seek, obtain, maintain or continue custody of, or
30 visitation with, a child who has been relinquished for adoption, or adopted pursuant to an order
31 of a court of competent jurisdiction.
