Rep. Painter called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the January 30, 2009 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Garn, Rep. Gibson, Rep. Kiser, and Rep. Wallis absent for the vote.

H.B. 271    Workers' Compensation - Uninsured Employers' Fund (Rep. M. Morley)

Rep. Morley presented the bill to the committee with the assistance of Larry Bunkell, Utah Labor Commission.        (handout)

MOTION:    Rep. Gibson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Garn absent for the vote.

H.B. 119    Powersport Vehicle Franchise Act Revisions (Rep. J. Gowans)

Rep. Gowans presented the bill to the committee with the assistance of Wayne Jones, Independent Auto Dealers and Bruce Steadman, owner, Steadman Recreation.

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Garn absent for the vote.
