Rep. Kiser called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m and relinquished the chair to Rep. Froerer.

MOTION:    Rep. Allen moved to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2009 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fisher absent for the vote.

H.B. 149    Forest Reserve Fund Revisions (Rep. M. Noel)

Rep. Noel introduced the bill and explained it to the committee assisted by Mark Walsh, Western Counties Alliance, and Mark Ward, Utah Association of Counties. Brent Thorne, Sevier School District Superintendent; Bruce Adams, San Juan County Commissioner; and Steve Peterson, Utah School Boards Association, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Seelig moved to transmit H.B. 149 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fisher absent for the vote.



The following bills were not heard in this meeting:

H.B. 66    Property Tax Amendments (Rep. M. Newbold)
H.B. 246    Property Tax - Residential Exemption (Rep. G. Froerer)

MOTION:    
Rep. Dougall moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fisher absent for the vote.

Rep. Froerer adjourned the meeting at 9:09 a.m.
