Committee Chair Urquhart called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

Approval of Minutes

    MOTION:
Sen. Van Tassell moved to approve the minutes of the January 30 and February     3, 2009 meetings.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hinkins absent for the vote.

1.      SB0052, New Motor Vehicle Franchise Amendments (S. Killpack)

    S.B. 52 was not considered.

    Sen. Knudson assumed the chair.

2.    SB0134, Transportation Funding Amendments (S. Urquhart)

    Sen. Urquhart introduced the bill.


    Mr. Shurtz spoke for the bill.
    
     MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass S.B. 134, Transportation Funding Amendments, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Sen. Urquhart resumed the chair.

3.    SB0136, Diesel-powered Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program Amendments
    (G. Bell)

    Sen. Bell introduced the bill.

    Mr. Bingham spoke for the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to pass S.B. 136, Diesel-powered Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program Amendments, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.

     MOTION: Sen. Killpack moved to place S.B. 136, Diesel-powered Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program Amendments, on the consent calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously.

4.    HB0216, Telecommunication Pricing Flexibility Amendments (F. Hunsaker)
    
    
Rep. Hunsaker introduced the bill.

    Ms. Beck spoke to the bill.

    Ms. Wolf spoke against the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to pass H.B. 216, Telecommunication Pricing Flexibility Amendments, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.
