8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies the Transportation Code by establishing the Pioneer Trail Memorial
10 Highway.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 . establishes the Pioneer Trail Memorial Highway on existing sections of Route 65
14 and Route 186; and
15 . requires the Department of Transportation to designate this highway on future state
16 highway maps.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 72-4-212 is enacted to read:
27 72-4-212. Pioneer Trail Memorial Highway.

28 (1) There is established the Pioneer Trail Memorial Highway comprising the existing
29 highways beginning at the junction of Route 84 and Route 65 and proceeding southwesterly on
30 Route 65 to the junction of Route 65 and Emigration Canyon Road; then beginning again in
31 Salt Lake City at the junction of Route 186 and Sunnyside Avenue and proceeding westerly on
32 Route 186 to Interstate Route 15.
33 (2) In addition to other official designations, the Department of Transportation shall
34 designate the portions of the highway identified in Subsection (1) as the Pioneer Trail
35 Memorial Highway on future state highway maps.
