Rep. Aagard called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to approve the minutes of the February 19, 2010 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Litvack, Rep. Seelig and Rep. Wimmer absent for the vote.

H.B. 348    Sheriffs Fees (Rep. R. Greenwood)

Rep. Greenwood presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 4, Lines 102 through 103 :    

             102          (b) The fee amount described in Subsection (7)(a)
{   does not apply if   }        cannot be changed by       a county legislative

             103      body
{   has set the fee amount   } under Subsection (1).


The motion to amend passed unanimously, with Rep. Litvack and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

Spoke for the bill:    Sheriff Frank Park, Tooele County Sheriff


MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed, with Rep. Wimmer voting in opposition. Rep. Seelig was absent for the vote.

S.J.R. 2    Joint Resolution on Combating and Reducing Gang Activity (Sen. L. Robles)

Sen. Robles presented the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Beck moved to pass the resolution out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Wiley moved to place S.J.R. 2 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

S.B. 102    Restricting the Movement of a Motor Vehicle (Sen. B. Goodfellow)

Sen. Goodfellow presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed, with Rep. Wimmer voting in opposition.

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
