Rep. Painter called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2011 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Brown, Rep. Harper and Rep. King absent for the vote.

H.B. 105    Delinquent Property Tax Certificates (Rep. G. Froerer)


Rep. Froerer explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke in opposition to the bill:    Mark Alton, Davis County Treasurer
                    Wendy Long, Uintah County Treasurer
                    

MOTION:    Rep. Froerer moved to hold H.B. 105 and recommended the bill go to the interim committee for further study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Butterfield, Rep. Duckworth, Rep. Fisher and Rep. King absent for the vote.


H.B. 135    Local Sales and Use Tax Distribution Revisions (Rep. J. Nielson)

Rep. Nielson explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke in opposition to the bill:    Dan McArthur, Mayor of St. George
                    

MOTION:    Rep. Wimmer moved to hold H.B. 135 and recommended the bill go to the interim committee for further study. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Fisher and Rep. Froerer absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Duckworth moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Fisher and Rep. Froerer absent for the vote. Rep. Painter adjourned the meeting at 3:57 p.m.
